A brave new vision to inspire change in the foster care system. A change that is much needed to create a brighter future for children in foster care.
Why now?
Foster care in Hong Kong needs our help. With over 4000 children in the system, there are currently only 900 registered families able to provide them with a safe, secure temporary home. Such adverse childhood experiences lead to longterm psychological trauma and stress, as children continue to be deprived of a warm loving home environment.
The need for Foster care is here and it is real. FCAHK’s purpose is grounded in a commitment to ensuring children in foster care not only receive the care they need to survive, but the love and support to thrive.
